The International Journal of Telepresence (IJT) is an open access journal for scholars, designers, and consumers interested in the phenomena of telepresence (usually shortened to presence), in which the users of technology overlook or misconstrue the role of the technology in their experience, when the mediated seems to be not mediated. Prominent examples include virtual (and augmented/mixed) reality; large-scale film formats such as IMAX; theme park rides; video games; artificial entities such as chatbots, digital humans, robots, androids; etc.
IJT is published at no cost to authors or readers by the International Society for Presence Research (ISPR). For more information please see the menu above.
